Stromboli, the volcanic island located in the Aeolian archipelago, famous for its persistent volcanic activity called “Strombolian”. Characterized by intermittent explosions of lava gas and ash, the island is a unique destination for volcanology enthusiasts and hikers.
400 meter hike
Meeting and departure at the meeting point. The nature trail runs along the sides of the volcano until reaching 400 meters, a point of permanence and observation of the Strombolian activity. Return in the evening.
Excursion to the Craters
The most suggestive excursion that will allow you to reach the highest altitude expected. Difficult excursion, due to the heat especially in the summer months. The stay in the summit area always depends on the activity of the volcano.
Recommended Equipment: Trekking boots, windbreaker, long trousers, sunglasses, sweatshirt, spare t-shirt, torch, water, snacks, sunscreen.
