Winter trekking on Etna is a unique and spectacular experience, it offers the opportunity to explore the highest active volcano in Europe immersed in a snowy landscape, perfect for those looking for a first winter experience on the volcano. The excursion requires good physical condition, adequate equipment and, preferably, an expert guide.
Meeting point Piazzale Rifugio Sapienza, at Bar “La Terrazza dell’Etna”
By cable car you reach an altitude of 2500 meters. The ascent will take us through the Crater dating back to the 2001 Eruption and a lava flow channel, until reaching the Barbagallo Craters at an altitude of 3000 meters, scene of the Perfect Eruption of 2002. The view of the Summit Craters, the Barbagallo Craters, the eastern coast of Sicily and the Valle del Bove will be the backdrop to our Tour on the highest active volcano in Europe.
